The crowd rose to their feet as Zuidhoven FC's Diderik Harding slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gijs Hommes. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. Diderik Harding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gijs Hommes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Lippenwoude defense, Jeroen Kuypers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gijs Hommes. The Lippenwoude fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gijs Hommes should have stopped the shot. Gijs Hommes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diderik Harding in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Lippenwoude's Gijs Hommes got control of the ball when Jeroen Kuypers tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Roy Korevaar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lippenwoude's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Korevaar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Sándor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roy Korevaar was the one to do the kick off. Zuidhoven FC's Peter Sándor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Korevaar in the 53rd minute of play. With his leg Peter Sándor managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Lippenwoude's Maurits Hosson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 57 played minutes Roy Korevaar rounded Zuidhoven FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. In the 64th minute Tommie Schimmel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gijs Hommes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zuidhoven FC's goalkeeper Peter Sándor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 89 minutes, Jeroen Kuypers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zuidhoven FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeroen Kuypers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lippenwoude's zone, Diderik Harding stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gijs Hommes came out of the goal and Diderik Harding tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
