Lippenwoude's Gijs Hommes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marinus Krol in the 36th minute of play. Tonnie Ieberts charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tonnie Ieberts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lippenwoude getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gertjan Polak made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Maurits Hosson sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marinus Krol to make the kick off. When Hette de Jaeger fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lippenwoude's protests and gave Hette de Jaeger a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice moves Theo Looze could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Gijs Hommes however easily saved by the left post. After 53 played minutes Lippenwoude got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Jan Popken. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinus Krol in the 54th minute of play forced Lippenwoude's goalkeeper Gijs Hommes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurits Hosson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gertjan Polak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
