Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Maurits van der Leegte got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Kijkduin HC's goalkeeper Egbert Holt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Tigelaar. In the 7th minute, Maurits van der Leegte fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Egbert Holt, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurits van der Leegte in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egbert Holt saved Kijkduin HC from getting behind. Gert Tigelaar struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Egbert Holt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Weste. When Dennis Snijders fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kijkduin HC's protests and gave Dennis Snijders a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes Kijkduin HC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Snijders. Gert Tigelaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Egbert Holt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert Tigelaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egbert Holt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurits van der Leegte in the 18th minute of the match. Berend Dalmeijer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Floris Kauffeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gert Tigelaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Maurits van der Leegte dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Egbert Holt, 1-0. Egbert Holt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurits van der Leegte in the 35th minute of the match. Egbert Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Medgyesi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Floris Kauffeld stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Weste booed when Kijkduin HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrie Grommers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes Weste got a freekick which was hit by Erwin de Boer. Kijkduin HC's Egbert Holt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurits van der Leegte in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurits van der Leegte during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Maurits van der Leegte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edwin Medgyesi charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edwin Medgyesi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Weste's Berend Dalmeijer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Floris Kauffeld in the 81st minute of play. Edwin Medgyesi got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. With a little luck, Weste's Berend Dalmeijer got control of the ball when Joeri Gasteren tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Klaas Siepel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Weste's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kijkduin HC the free kick. A collision led to Weste getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Klaas Siepel hit a great ball. Joeri Gasteren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berend Dalmeijer having to interfere. When Gert Tigelaar came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Weste fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Tigelaar couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
