Thanks to some nice moves Aad Zuidema could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Frank Cranenburgh however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Herman Hilberts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Looneind FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Herman Hilberts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Westerhof breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Cranenburgh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filip Luijpers's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Herman Hilberts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Emil Westerhof tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Zande FC booed when Looneind FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Boven didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Looneind FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 36 minutes, Zande FC's Willem Hovenkamp got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Frank Cranenburgh. Filip Luijperss short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Frank Cranenburgh to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frank Cranenburgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Luijpers, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The audience was convinced that Herman Hilberts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emil Westerhof was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. If Aad Zuidema had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Frank Cranenburgh successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filip Luijpers to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Aad Zuidema managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zande FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aad Zuidema was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Cranenburgh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 54 minutes, Pieter-Jan ten Rouwelaar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Looneind FC and the Zande FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Willem Hovenkamp scored 3-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Cranenburgh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filip Luijpers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Frank Cranenburgh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aad Zuidema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herman Hilberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Westerhof having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Herman Hilberts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Zande FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Arne Valentijn hit a great ball. Looneind FC's Frank Cranenburgh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Luijpers in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Looneind FC booed when Zande FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aad Zuidema didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Looneind FC's zone, Aad Zuidema stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Cranenburgh came out of the goal and Aad Zuidema tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Billy Walstra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emil Westerhof didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herman Hilberts went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Looneind FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
