Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Westdorpe's Pieter van der Struijk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rob Wisgerhof showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pieter van der Struijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Rob Wisgerhof stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pieter van der Struijk's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Steve Haas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pieter van der Struijk in the 9th minute of play forced Rotstergaast's goalkeeper Rob Wisgerhof to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rotstergaast's Rob Wisgerhof proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Rotstergaast from getting a goal against them. Rob Wisgerhof took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pieter van der Struijk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guus Scheerhoorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Paul Vervoort in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Westdorpe's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Rogaars came free, but Guus Scheerhoorn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Rogaars's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guus Scheerhoorn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Pierre Appel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guus Scheerhoorn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Rotstergaast's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Zwiers came free, but Rob Wisgerhof reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rob Wisgerhof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pieter van der Struijk in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wim Rogaars was the one to do the kick off. Rotstergaast's Wim Rogaars got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Wim Rogaars came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Rotstergaast fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Rogaars couldn't finish the play. Rob Wisgerhof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Haas in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Jean-Paul Vervoort recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guus Scheerhoorn. Jean-Paul Vervoort showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Wim Rogaars managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rotstergaast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Rogaars was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Rotstergaast's Wim Rogaars slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guus Scheerhoorn. That made the score 0-3 after 90 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Westdorpe's zone, Jean-Paul Vervoort stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guus Scheerhoorn came out of the goal and Jean-Paul Vervoort tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rob Wisgerhof stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pieter van der Struijk's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. The Rotstergaast supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rotstergaast would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
