After a defensive mix-up in Linderle Eendracht's zone, Youri van den Akker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pieter Meijer came out of the goal and Youri van den Akker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geert Kik in the 8th minute of play forced Linderle Eendracht's goalkeeper Pieter Meijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Youri van den Akker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anton Even didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pepijn Zevenhuizen went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Anton Even took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sipke Rinzema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Markenbinnen's Geert Kik got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pepijn Zevenhuizen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Even read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Pascall van der Bij came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Markenbinnen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascall van der Bij couldn't finish the play. Sipke Rinzema sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The tension between the Linderle Eendracht and the Markenbinnen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Youri Moek kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Pieter Meijer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascall van der Bij in the 74th minute of play. Reinhard Ooijer kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Pascall van der Bij blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pieter Meijer having to make a save. Markenbinnen's Anton Even proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Markenbinnen from getting a goal against them. Sipke Rinzema took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Even. Anton Even dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Pepijn Zevenhuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
