When Fabian Schuttrup fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linderle Eendracht's protests and gave Fabian Schuttrup a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Linderle Eendracht got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Schuttrup. After a rather tough play, Linderle Eendracht's Franck Boersma got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Huib Witters sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pieter Meijer skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Friebel in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pieter Meijer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mark Friebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter Meijer having to interfere. Philip Heikens hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Pepijn Zevenhuizen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giovanni Zwart charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giovanni Zwart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gellikum HC's Giovanni Zwart got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Gellikum HC booed when Linderle Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franck Boersma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Friebel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pepijn Zevenhuizen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter Jansen having to interfere. With splendid footwork Mark Friebel arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-1 by the left pole in the game's 54th minute. Gellikum HC's Mark Friebel got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Thomas van der Wiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pieter Meijer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Friebel in the 62nd minute of the match. Mark Friebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter Meijer having to interfere. Linderle Eendracht's Pieter Meijer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Linderle Eendracht from getting a goal against them. After 70 minutes of play, Linderle Eendracht's Pepijn Zevenhuizen made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pieter Jansen was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Linderle Eendracht getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sipke Rinzema hit a great ball. If Peter van Asseldonk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Pepijn Zevenhuizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Sipke Rinzema had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pieter Jansen. Gellikum HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sipke Rinzema was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sipke Rinzema in the 91st minute of play forced Gellikum HC's goalkeeper Pieter Jansen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Gellikum HC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
