Andy Sturkenboom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Joost Pruischer, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jan-Joost Pruischer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilbert Meinders kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Diderik Scholten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Folkert Tamminga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregor Teuws having to interfere. Gilbert Meinders kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Folkert Tamminga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gregor Teuws was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jasper Bekker to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Dieskant FC's Jan-Joost Pruischer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andy Sturkenboom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andy Sturkenboom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Joost Pruischer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Rietven's goal looked a bit too open when Diderik Scholten came free, but Andy Sturkenboom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper Bekker in the 61st minute of play forced Dieskant FC's goalkeeper Gregor Teuws to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Dieskant FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Bekker came free, but Gregor Teuws reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes in the game, Folkert Tamminga fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gregor Teuws having to interfere. Jasper Bekker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregor Teuws having to make a save. 75 minutes into the game, Dieskant FC's Jan-Joost Pruischer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andy Sturkenboom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Diderik Scholten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute.
