In the 6th minute, Joris Zethof got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute Jelle Popken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk-Jan Kemper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dirk-Jan Kemper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelle Popken in the 17th minute of play. Bart Sneijder was a little too slow when Jan Pals got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 2-0. Kees de Haan struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Bart Sneijder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wissinkhoek HC. Kees de Haan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Wissinkhoek HC's Mike de Rudder got a free kick in the 29th minute. Wisch RKSV were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Wissinkhoek HC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mart Kramer took the corner. After taking down the ball on Wisch RKSV's corner Mart Kramer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dirk-Jan Kemper quite easily take care of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Wisch RKSV's Jelle Popken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dirk-Jan Kemper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joris Zethof received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dirk-Jan Kemper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry Denneboom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk-Jan Kemper having to interfere. Jan-Joost Hooiveld hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Wissinkhoek HC's Johannes van der Saar got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Pals to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Wisch RKSV's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Pals came free, but Bart Sneijder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, Wissinkhoek HC's Kees de Haan made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bart Sneijder was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the game, Meindert Vrede was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wisch RKSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wissinkhoek HC the free kick. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wisch RKSV's goalkeeper Bart Sneijder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joris Zethof succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 73rd playminute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Pals received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Bart Sneijder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kees de Haan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bart Sneijder having to make a save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wisch RKSV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Wissinkhoek HC. Johannes van der Saar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bart Sneijder. 4-1. 98 minutes into the game, Jan Pals was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wissinkhoek HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wisch RKSV the free kick. A collision led to Wissinkhoek HC getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Jan Pals hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wisch RKSV players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wissinkhoek HC.
