An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Overdiep in the 17th minute of play forced Langstraat's goalkeeper Pieter-Jan Pool to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Burgh HC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Richard Dekkers hit a great ball. Alex Staarmans short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Chiel Schuurman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, Burgh HC's goal looked a bit too open when Japke Bouwens came free, but Chiel Schuurman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coos Ronde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pieter-Jan Pool tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coos Ronde in the 30th minute of play forced Langstraat's goalkeeper Pieter-Jan Pool to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wessel Buskermolen charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wessel Buskermolen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Burgh HC booed when Langstraat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wessel Buskermolen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Coos Ronde in the 35th minute of play forced Langstraat's goalkeeper Pieter-Jan Pool to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pieter-Jan Pool made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coos Ronde in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Staarman got free with Chiel Schuurman in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Japke Bouwens made the kick off in the second half. Coos Ronde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andre Overdiep was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Burgh HC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pieter-Jan Pool made an important save on a dangerous shot by Coos Ronde in the 70th minute. Coos Ronde struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Pieter-Jan Pool didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burgh HC. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Pieter-Jan Pool showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Overdiep, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Alex Staarman scored 1-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chiel Schuurman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hub Caluwé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Staarman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Chiel Schuurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burgh HC played a much better game than Langstraat and deserved their victory. The Langstraat players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
