Sebastiaan Wegman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Coos Zegwaard in the 4th minute of the match. Lukas Klooster kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Berend Scheerhoorn fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maarsbergen's protests and gave Berend Scheerhoorn a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Maarsbergen got a freekick which was hit by Berend Scheerhoorn. After 55 played minutes, Nieuwebrug's Domenik Wegman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sebastiaan Wegman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nieuwebrug reached it. After 56 played minutes Maarsbergen got a freekick which was hit by Olaf Steyns. If Harm Pool had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Auke Gierman in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastiaan Wegman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Klaas van Zwam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
