Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Filip Heinen made the kick off and thus started the match. Filip Heinen might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thijs Cales. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filip Heinen ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilfried Ottens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auke Gierman in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Nieuwebrug booed when Asenraij Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Houwing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Auke Gierman took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfried Ottens. Wilfried Ottens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auke Gierman in the 24th minute of play forced Asenraij Eendracht's goalkeeper Wilfried Ottens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auke Gierman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfried Ottens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, Nieuwebrug's Auke Gierman made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilfried Ottens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arjen Meder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thijs Cales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Asenraij Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maikel Roodenburg to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Nieuwebrug's Domenik Wegman got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Nieuwebrug's Coos Zegwaard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Coos Zegwaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arjen Meder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Thijs Cales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thijs Cales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Heinen in the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Asenraij Eendracht's Arjen Meder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thijs Cales made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Auke Gierman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Wilfried Ottens made a huge save. The supporters of Nieuwebrug booed when Asenraij Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinant Kromkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thijs Cales came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Asenraij Eendracht's Arjen Meder. But to his dismay, Arjen Meder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Nieuwebrug's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
