In the 6th minute Rein Jeronimus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jochem Schenning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rein Jeronimus came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Rekken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rein Jeronimus couldn't finish the play. In the 11thth minute of the game Hendrik-Jan Reitsma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rekken's Mitchell Ritsma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jochem Schenning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rein Jeronimus in the 12th minute of the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rekken's goalkeeper Mitchell Ritsma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jochem Schenning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Willem Melis, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th match minute, Tin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Grijp to maneuver through the defense. Raymond Pals charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymond Pals the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rekken booed when Tin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Pals didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Tin's goal looked a bit too open when Rein Jeronimus came free, but Jochem Schenning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Grijp hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, Rekken's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Lamberts came free, but Mitchell Ritsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mickael Tijink kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Dirk Lamberts might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mitchell Ritsma. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mitchell Ritsma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hendrik-Jan Reitsma in the 48th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rein Jeronimus to strike the kick off in the second half. If Dirk Lamberts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendrik-Jan Reitsma in the 60th minute of play forced Rekken's goalkeeper Mitchell Ritsma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Rekken defense, Hendrik-Jan Reitsma kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mitchell Ritsma. The Rekken fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mitchell Ritsma should have stopped the shot. Mitchell Ritsma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hendrik-Jan Reitsma in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rekken's goalkeeper Mitchell Ritsma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
