The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Eigen FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Elroy Verhoeven hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Wouter den Hartog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurens Woering saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurens Woering stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wouter den Hartog's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gert Oss in the 17th minute of play forced Nijnsel FC's goalkeeper Hans Reitsma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elroy Verhoeven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Oss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Nijnsel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Oss came free, but Hans Reitsma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gert Oss sped through Nijnsel FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hans Reitsma. Ronny Bemmel's late challenge caught a Eigen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronny Bemmel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Eigen FC booed when Nijnsel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Bemmel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute Gert Oss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Reitsma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Hans Geerts notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Eigen FC's Laurens Woering. Laurens Woering was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hans Geerts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ate Eringa fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nijnsel FC's protests and gave Ate Eringa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nijnsel FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ate Eringa hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Fabian van Zeist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Geerts in the 57th minute of play forced Eigen FC's goalkeeper Laurens Woering to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Eigen FC's Laurens Woering got control of the ball when Wouter den Hartog tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Nijnsel FC booed when Eigen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jhon Harmens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eigen FC's Laurens Woering played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Geerts in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Eigen FC's zone, Hans Geerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurens Woering came out of the goal and Hans Geerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Jhon Harmens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Wouter den Hartog got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Ger Niekamp recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Laurens Woering. Ger Niekamp showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Hans Geerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurens Woering having to interfere. Wouter den Hartog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurens Woering having to interfere. Nijnsel FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
