Schafferden's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dolf Gierman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Schafferden's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mark Hesseling hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th match minute, Driemolens Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henk Korfs to maneuver through the defense. Marco Saeijs made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Tonnie Snijders sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Marco Saeijs managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Schafferden's Tonnie Snijders fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 29 minutes, Dolf Gierman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schafferden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dolf Gierman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Driemolens Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerjan Kinear to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Roger Gasteren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dolf Gierman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Saeijs having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Berends during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Driemolens Eendracht. Ted Brinker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Karel Oosting. 0-1. Gerjan Kinear kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Tonnie Snijders notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Driemolens Eendracht's Marco Saeijs. Marco Saeijs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dolf Gierman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Driemolens Eendracht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Hesseling to maneuver through the defense. If Klaus Boeve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herman Brürs hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Gerjan Kinear came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Driemolens Eendracht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerjan Kinear couldn't finish the play. Boudewijn Tellingen kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Marco Saeijs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dolf Gierman in the 71st minute of the match. After 71 minutes, Job Heide mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Driemolens Eendracht and the Schafferden players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Schafferden booed when Driemolens Eendracht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Job Heide didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernard Wielens in the 76th minute of play forced Schafferden's goalkeeper Karel Oosting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 88 in the game by Roger Gasteren from a close distance when the talented Karel Oosting managed to make a qualified save. Schafferden's players were relieved. Roger Gasteren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Oosting having to interfere. Karel Oosting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Wielens, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Karel Oosting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Gasteren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Driemolens Eendracht's goal looked a bit too open when Dolf Gierman came free, but Marco Saeijs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
