In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schafferden's goalkeeper Karel Oosting, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anthony Gronden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karel Oosting having to interfere. Anthony Gronden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karel Oosting having to make a save. Simon Deiman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karel Oosting. Schafferden's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anthony Gronden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karel Oosting was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dolf Gierman was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Tonnie Snijders put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mario Haremeijer. After a rather tough play, Schafferden's Ruud Dekkers got a free kick in the 74th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Hugo Telkamp could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Karel Oosting however easily saved by the left post. Hugo Telkamp in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karel Oosting, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Dolf Gierman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the match, Bonnerveen FC's Hugo Telkamp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karel Oosting narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bonnerveen FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Schafferden.
