Wilco Pragt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaas Waterman, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Wellenseind's Pieter-Jan Thole proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Wellenseind from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klaas Waterman in the 45th minute of play forced Lobith's goalkeeper Wilco Pragt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 50 minutes into the match, Jurre Iepstra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilco Pragt. Lobith's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jurre Iepstra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geale Alberda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Wellenseind's Jurre Iepstra got a free kick in the 86th minute. Pieter-Jan Thole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geale Alberda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lobith's Michael Deitmers got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
