Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Jan Rein Wielens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Klaas Akkerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Zonneveld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 played minutes Lewenborg got a freekick which was hit by Fabiën Bouwman. Vincent Pool made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Rein Wielens in the 8th minute of play. When Medhuizen HC's Pascall van Herwijnen in 15 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vincent Pool guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With a little luck, Lewenborg's Vincent Pool got control of the ball when Jan Rein Wielens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kurt Zonneveld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute Lennart Jonker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaas Akkerman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Medhuizen HC's Roderick Brürs got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 25 played minutes Medhuizen HC got a freekick which was hit by Roderick Brürs. Jan Rein Wielens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute, Pascall van Herwijnen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincent Pool was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Lennart Jonker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lewenborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart Jonker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaas Akkerman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute Lennart Jonker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaas Akkerman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt Zonneveld to make the kick off. Klaas Akkerman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Zonneveld in the 54th minute of the match. Lewenborg's Lennart Jonker got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lewenborg's Vincent Pool played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascall van Herwijnen in the 63rd minute of play. Klaas Akkerman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Zonneveld in the 64th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Lewenborg's Lennart Jonker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Klaas Akkerman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Klaas Akkerman managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Lewenborg's Lennart Jonker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Michel Zeeman came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Medhuizen HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Zeeman couldn't finish the play. Jan Rein Wielens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent Pool read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Vincent Pool showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Rein Wielens, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Lewenborg's Fabiën Bouwman got a free kick in the 89th minute.
