Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gregor Kroeze got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Melick's Gregor Kroeze sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bill Teesing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregor Kroeze might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bill Teesing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gregor Kroeze ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolf Bessing was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Melick's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rolf Bessing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niels Hartogh during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Melick were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Katendrecht's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucas Hendriks took the corner. Melick's Izaak de Ridder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Korsma in the 40th minute of play. Katendrecht's Bill Teesing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregor Kroeze in the 46th minute of play. Marco Kuypers kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Humberto Peters fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melick's protests and gave Humberto Peters a yellow card for diving instead. Humberto Peters hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remond Sibon in the 61st minute of play forced Melick's goalkeeper Izaak de Ridder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Bessing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Izaak de Ridder didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Izaak de Ridder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remond Sibon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remond Sibon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Izaak de Ridder having to interfere. Melick's Rolf Bessing got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryan Korsma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Melick getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Berry Wit hit a great ball. Bill Teesing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Bessing in the 85th minute of play. Bill Teesing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregor Kroeze's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryan Korsma got free with Izaak de Ridder in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience held their breath when Lucas Hendriks in the 94th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Bill Teesing's left hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Katendrecht's zone, Rolf Bessing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Teesing came out of the goal and Rolf Bessing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Katendrecht eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
