The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Grootebroek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bas Daamen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ron Wilbrink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grootebroek's supporters rose to their feet, but Ron Wilbrink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niels-Jan Vonk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henk Alkema during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Henk Alkema hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Arjen Roelfs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grootebroek's supporters rose to their feet, but Arjen Roelfs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niels-Jan Vonk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Visbuurt defense, Ron Wilbrink kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niels-Jan Vonk. The Visbuurt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niels-Jan Vonk should have stopped the shot. Bas Daamen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Marco Zaagman rounded Grootebroek's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. 43 minutes into the game, Alfred Rieks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grootebroek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Visbuurt the free kick. After a rather tough play, Grootebroek's Alfred Rieks got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Arjen Roelfs made a precise shot to the right of Niels-Jan Vonk. Visbuurt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arjen Roelfs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfred Rieks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ralf Verbeek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Zaagman's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. If Arjen Roelfs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arjen Roelfs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Niels-Jan Vonk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bas Daamen in the 67th minute of play forced Grootebroek's goalkeeper Ralf Verbeek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralf Verbeek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Zaagman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kristof Oude Kamphuis hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Marco Zaagman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Wansink kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Marco Zaagman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Grootebroek's goal looked a bit too open when Bas Daamen came free, but Ralf Verbeek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Grootebroek getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Sjors Drok hit a great ball. If Marco Zaagman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
