The referee ignored Halder's protests and gave Thijs Ooijer a yellow card for diving instead. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Stijn Spanjaard put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mathijs Bekker. 95 minutes into the match, Kathagen's goal looked a bit too open when Stijn Spanjaard came free, but Mathijs Bekker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Halder's goalkeeper Richard de Nooijer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sjef de Haan. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
