The supporters of Koudekerk booed when Greonterp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coenraad Piening didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard den Hertogh lost his temper 38 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Ferdi Randag came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Greonterp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdi Randag couldn't finish the play. Ralf Stekelenburg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Uci Romansyah went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Uci Romansyah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greonterp's supporters rose to their feet, but Uci Romansyah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Stekelenburg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Greonterp's Rolf Degens got control of the ball when Timmie Hardering tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Greonterp's goalkeeper Rolf Degens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cor Knuppel.
