A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Coenraad Zandee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Klaas Jan Berends showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arie Weerd in the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Arie Weerd's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klaas Jan Berends was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the game, Mark Boven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blerick's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kloostereind the free kick. The supporters of Kloostereind booed when Blerick was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Boven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gooitzen Buskermolen made a great header on Kloostereind's corner, it was just that Blerick's Klaas Jan Berends managed to reach the ball for a save. Fabiën Jonker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabiën Jonker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andy Weerd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Dongen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Coenraad Zandee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Kloostereind's goal looked a bit too open when Coenraad Zandee came free, but Andy Weerd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kloostereind's zone, Coenraad Zandee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andy Weerd came out of the goal and Coenraad Zandee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kloostereind's goalkeeper Andy Weerd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 73 minutes, Coenraad Zandee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blerick's supporters crossed their fingers, but Coenraad Zandee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute Mark Boven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andy Weerd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blerick's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
