The referee ignored Oorschot's protests and gave Ralph Schoonbeek a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Oorschot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Schoonbeek to maneuver through the defense. If Philip Lanting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douwe Bruintjes kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Ron de Zwaan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oorschot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ron de Zwaan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elmar Wolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carel Krommert having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron de Zwaan in the 25th minute of play forced Stryp's goalkeeper Berry Theissen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 played minutes Oorschot got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Schoonbeek. The long shot by Simon Stuifzand in the 29th minute really tested Carel Krommert's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With an all-out effort, Stryp's Carel Krommert threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cobus Stubbe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Cobus Stubbe came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Stryp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cobus Stubbe couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Cobus Stubbe fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Carel Krommert, passed just outside the right post. Philip Lanting fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carel Krommert having to interfere. Carel Krommert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cobus Stubbe in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cobus Stubbe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oorschot's Carel Krommert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cobus Stubbe in the 52nd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Oorschot's Ron de Zwaan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Berry Theissen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cobus Stubbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Carel Krommert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carel Krommert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmar Wolf in the 89th minute of the match. Cobus Stubbe struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Carel Krommert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stryp. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Stryp fully deserved thier win.
