Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dave Zoolingen started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Wilfried Waesbergen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Overstegen S.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfried Waesbergen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascall Brinks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Zoolingen in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascall Brinks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the match, Temadias FC's Roelof Boezeman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Timmie van Basten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 9 minutes of play, Temadias FC's Peter de Nooijer made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timmie van Basten was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute Roelof Boezeman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timmie van Basten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Dave Zoolingen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Overstegen S.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Zoolingen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralph Vos hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Timmie van Basten acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elco Ros. 19 minutes into the game, Roelof Boezeman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Timmie van Basten. Roelof Boezeman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Roelof Boezeman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timmie van Basten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Ralph Vos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timmie van Basten made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Peter de Nooijer sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Overstegen S.V.'s Fernando Daalmeyer got a free kick in the 29th minute. Timmie van Basten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roelof Boezeman in the 31st minute of play. Dave Zoolingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Pascall Brinks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Peter de Nooijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roelof Boezeman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timmie van Basten having to interfere. Timmie van Basten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roelof Boezeman's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Roelof Boezeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Timmie van Basten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter de Nooijer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter de Nooijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Timmie van Basten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roelof Boezeman to strike the kick off in the second half. If Peter de Nooijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute of the match Elco Ros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timmie van Basten skillfully saved the ball. Peter de Nooijer might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timmie van Basten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter de Nooijer ran back to his position shaking his head. Roelof Boezeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
