In the 6th minute, Florian Wijngaart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geefsweer's goalkeeper Harald Klaasens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Geefsweer booed when Overloon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Vrieling didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Gio Wilminck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roland de Coninck was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Overloon FC's Gido de Jaeger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Harald Klaasens. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Harald Klaasens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gido de Jaeger, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The wind increased when Gido de Jaeger made the kick off in the second half. Florian Wijngaart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Frits Kloppenburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Overloon FC's zone, Gio Wilminck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland de Coninck came out of the goal and Gio Wilminck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roland de Coninck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferdi Borg's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Borg in the 70th minute of play forced Overloon FC's goalkeeper Roland de Coninck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Florian Wijngaart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Overloon FC's Roland de Coninck got control of the ball when Gio Wilminck tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Gio Wilminck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, Johannes Meppelink was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geefsweer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Overloon FC the free kick. A collision led to Geefsweer getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Gido de Jaeger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harald Klaasens having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Geefsweer players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Overloon FC.
