If Stefano Mook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bas Ottens during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bas Ottens hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Arno Gierman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Stevert's Kurt van Zeijl got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Foeke Kolkman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Stevert's Vincent Ploeger. Vincent Ploeger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Foeke Kolkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Koningsbosch HC's Arno Gierman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vincent Ploeger. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. In the 26th minute, Pascall van der Tol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Niemeyer in the 27th minute of play forced Koningsbosch HC's goalkeeper Jelmer Carels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stefano Mook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kurt van Zeijl fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stevert's protests and gave Kurt van Zeijl a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Stevert got a freekick which was hit by Kurt van Zeijl. When Koningsbosch HC's Arno Gierman in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stevert's goalie prevented a goal. Arno Gierman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vincent Ploeger having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arno Gierman in the 44th minute of play forced Stevert's goalkeeper Vincent Ploeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Arno Gierman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Ploeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierre Niemeyer made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arno Gierman in the 55th minute of play forced Stevert's goalkeeper Vincent Ploeger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pierre Niemeyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes Stevert got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Prins. Foeke Kolkman struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Vincent Ploeger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Koningsbosch HC. Arno Gierman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Vincent Ploeger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute of the match Pascall van der Tol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vincent Ploeger skillfully saved the ball. Vincent Ploeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Gierman in the 80th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play Stevert's Kurt van Zeijl was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Stevert's Kurt van Zeijl got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Arno Gierman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent Ploeger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arno Gierman in the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Koningsbosch HC's Jelmer Carels got control of the ball when Stefano Mook tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronny de Mol kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Stevert's goal looked a bit too open when Arno Gierman came free, but Vincent Ploeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Foeke Kolkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koningsbosch HC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
