Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arno Gierman got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Koningsbosch HC's goalkeeper Jelmer Carels had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Klok. Tjeerd van Zwam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Gierman in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hunsel HC's Demy Elst got a free kick in the 17th minute. Tjeerd van Zwam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Foeke Kolkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Koningsbosch HC's Jelmer Carels played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Graaf in the 24th minute of play. Tjeerd van Zwam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Foeke Kolkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With an all-out effort, Hunsel HC's Jelmer Carels threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Klaus Graaf, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Hunsel HC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Harm Atsma hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Foeke Kolkman in the 37th minute of play forced Hunsel HC's goalkeeper Tjeerd van Zwam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Foeke Kolkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Arno Gierman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Koningsbosch HC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ronny de Mol hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Harm Atsma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Pascall van der Tol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tjeerd van Zwam skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Koningsbosch HC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klaus Graaf to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes Koningsbosch HC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harm Atsma who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Koningsbosch HC's goalie and right to Dimitrie Roelfs. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Koningsbosch HC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 57th minute, Arno Gierman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tjeerd van Zwam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arno Gierman in the 60th minute of the match. Foeke Kolkman made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 87thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Tjeerd van Zwam would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Arno Gierman might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tjeerd van Zwam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arno Gierman ran back to his position shaking his head. After 90 played minutes Hunsel HC got a freekick which was hit by Jacobus Nieuwburg. The supporters of Koningsbosch HC booed when Hunsel HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Buys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tjeerd van Zwam acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 98th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pascall van der Tol. Koningsbosch HC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
