Folker Opdam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Biervliet's Fred Ferreira in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oosterboorn's goalie prevented a goal. Folker Opdam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ab van Zwam, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Folker Opdam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Ferreira in the 16th minute of the match. Oosterboorn's Folker Opdam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ab van Zwam in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute Fred Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folker Opdam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marco Scheper fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oosterboorn's protests and gave Marco Scheper a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Oosterboorn getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Marco Scheper hit a great ball. Oosterboorn's Folker Opdam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ab van Zwam in the 28th minute of play. Fred Ferreira scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folker Opdam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Oosterboorn's Folker Opdam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ab van Zwam in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Ab van Zwam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Biervliet's supporters rose to their feet, but Ab van Zwam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folker Opdam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 0-5 became the score in the 40th minute when Fred Ferreira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Fred Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folker Opdam having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Biervliet's Pepijn Pepping got a free kick in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pascal Remmelts made a kick off. In the 57th minute Ab van Zwam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folker Opdam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ab van Zwam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Biervliet getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Wim Dekens hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ab van Zwam in the 70th minute of play forced Oosterboorn's goalkeeper Folker Opdam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Bakker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fred Ferreira hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Fred Ferreira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Folker Opdam when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 83 in the game by Fred Ferreira from a close distance when the talented Folker Opdam managed to make a qualified save. Oosterboorn's players were relieved. Marco Scheper hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Ab van Zwam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Folker Opdam, 0-8. If Ab van Zwam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ab van Zwam charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ab van Zwam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Biervliet's Ab van Zwam got a free kick in the 91st minute. Fred Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Biervliet left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Oosterboorn.
