Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Valkenberg's Christijan Hagenouw started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paul Wiggers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the match, Valkenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Wiggers came free, but Eddy Steyns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, SepFC's goal looked a bit too open when Urbes Palencia came free, but Bastiaan Schokkenbroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Wiggers in the 15th minute of play forced Valkenberg's goalkeeper Eddy Steyns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bastiaan Schokkenbroek made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Christijan Hagenouw sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in SepFC's zone, Urbes Palencia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bastiaan Schokkenbroek came out of the goal and Urbes Palencia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 played minutes SepFC got a freekick which was hit by Harold Knopper. Taco van Driest kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Valkenberg's Eddy Steyns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Knopper in the 27th minute of play. Paul Wiggers took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eddy Steyns. Eddy Steyns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Taco van Driest might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eddy Steyns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taco van Driest ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th match minute, Valkenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christijan Hagenouw to maneuver through the defense. Paul Wiggers's late challenge caught a Valkenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Wiggers helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Valkenberg a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Christijan Hagenouw, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SepFC's Bastiaan Schokkenbroek. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Zuurman was the one to do the kick off. Urbes Palencia hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Erik Zuurman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eddy Steyns was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Christijan Hagenouw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valkenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Christijan Hagenouw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bastiaan Schokkenbroek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the game, Valkenberg's Christijan Hagenouw nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bastiaan Schokkenbroek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. SepFC's Bastiaan Schokkenbroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christijan Hagenouw in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute Christijan Hagenouw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastiaan Schokkenbroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Been kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After 92 minutes, Donald Zuidam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SepFC and the Valkenberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donald Zuidam hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christijan Hagenouw in the 93rd minute of play forced SepFC's goalkeeper Bastiaan Schokkenbroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Harold Knopper hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Erik Zuurman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SepFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Valkenberg had controlled the match.
