Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Karel Lucius kicked off to start the match. Taco Koole blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roland Duinhoven having to make a save. Dimitrie Buring didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Youri Terpstra went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aktuğ Suer got free with Roland Duinhoven in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitrie Buring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Terpstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitrie Penders in the 13th minute of play forced Vitesse's goalkeeper Dimitrie Buring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Aktuğ Suer came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Vitesse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aktuğ Suer couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taco Koole in the 17th minute of play forced DE JONGE TIJGERS's goalkeeper Roland Duinhoven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Vitesse got a corner. DE JONGE TIJGERS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pieter Van Dock ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Vitesse's Taco Koole to fire away a dangerous shot which Roland Duinhoven despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Terpstra in the 22nd minute of play forced Vitesse's goalkeeper Dimitrie Buring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auke Aukes kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Roland Duinhoven came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Vitesse's Aktuğ Suer. But to his dismay, Aktuğ Suer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dimitrie Buring showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Terpstra in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vitesse's Frits Degens got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Youri Terpstra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrie Buring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jurgen Zeeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roland Duinhoven showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frits Degens, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frits Degens to make the kick off. Taco Koole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Roland Duinhoven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in DE JONGE TIJGERS's zone, Taco Koole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Duinhoven came out of the goal and Taco Koole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimitrie Buring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karel Lucius in the 56th minute of play. Vitesse's Roderick Westerink got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roland Duinhoven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aktuğ Suer in the 60th minute of play. Youri Terpstra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Dimitrie Buring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frits Degens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, DE JONGE TIJGERS's goal looked a bit too open when Aktuğ Suer came free, but Roland Duinhoven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pieter Van Dock during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Vitesse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieter Van Dock to maneuver through the defense. Roland Duinhoven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits Degens in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Pieter Van Dock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vitesse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pieter Van Dock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karel Lucius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitrie Buring having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Vitesse's goalkeeper Dimitrie Buring had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Youri Terpstra. In the 79th minute Marco Heijen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitrie Buring saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frits Degens in the 80th minute of play forced DE JONGE TIJGERS's goalkeeper Roland Duinhoven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Taco Koole ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland Duinhoven was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 88 minutes into the match, DE JONGE TIJGERS's goal looked a bit too open when Frits Degens came free, but Roland Duinhoven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Youri Terpstra managed to get in a good position for a shot. DE JONGE TIJGERS's supporters rose to their feet, but Youri Terpstra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dimitrie Buring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Roderick Westerink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitesse's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
