Jerzy Gongolewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Uithuizen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmie Kuypers to maneuver through the defense. Uithuizen's Jerzy Gongolewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Robbermond in the 27th minute of play. Cadier's Laurens de Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douwe Bleiswijk in the 34th minute of play. Jerzy Gongolewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hub Roelofsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cemil Talayhan got free with Laurens de Freitas in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hans Beishuizen made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Lundström in the 53rd minute of play forced Cadier's goalkeeper Laurens de Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cadier booed when Uithuizen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk Adriaanse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henk Adriaanse's late challenge caught a Cadier's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henk Adriaanse helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Uithuizen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henk Adriaanse to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Uithuizen's Jerzy Gongolewicz got control of the ball when Hub Roelofsen tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Arnold Robbermond took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jerzy Gongolewicz to make any attempt to save it.
