The supporters of Sporting Skoekeloen booed when FC Beachelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo van der Saar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Haan charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Haan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martijn Geerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Enzing was the one to do the kick off. Jan Haan got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jorn Ponk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Skoekeloen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorn Ponk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marick Staarman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
