Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Manilan in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, De tulpen SC's Timoteo Manilan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelio Rexino. Aurelio Rexino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Yu Ang Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Matos in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Benjamin Jol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seagulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De tulpen SC the free kick. Benjamin Jol hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. During the 14th minute of the match Benjamin Jol completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benjamin Jol a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Seagulls fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! Aurelio Rexino had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Frits Daverveld's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 18th minute, De tulpen SC's Harm van Zomeren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Yu Ang Chuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milosz Zgonina in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Milosz Zgonina hit a great ball. Aurelio Rexino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harm van Zomeren, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. De tulpen SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frits Daverveld in the 30th minute. A nice corner shot did that Godofredo Leyton got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aurelio Rexino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aurelio Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Văidianu in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milosz Zgonina to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harm van Zomeren in the 37th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Aurelio Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, De tulpen SC's Godofredo Leyton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Rexino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milosz Zgonina got free with Yu Ang Chuan in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yu Ang Chuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nildo Matos in the 54th minute. Harm van Zomeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Buskes's late challenge caught a Seagulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurelio Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Leyton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Godofredo Leyton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Leyton in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, De tulpen SC's goal looked a bit too open when Milosz Zgonina came free, but Yu Ang Chuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. De tulpen SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frits Daverveld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Rexino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, De tulpen SC's goalkeeper Yu Ang Chuan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nildo Matos. Aurelio Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Manilan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seagulls's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because De tulpen SC had won, even though Seagulls had held more of the ball.
