In the 13th match minute, volibears was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo van Harten to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Abdulkadir Sungun sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Overschie's Niek Kiewit didn't even have to move. In the 19th match minute, Overschie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaas de Vries to maneuver through the defense. Maximilian Viklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Niek Kiewit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Jorn Krommert reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aurelio Malatesta. The goal made the score 1-0. The corner led Overschie's Jan Rein Hindriks to fire away a dangerous shot which Aurelio Malatesta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diderik Pepping in the 32nd minute of play forced Overschie's goalkeeper Niek Kiewit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurelio Malatesta had great luck who in the 33rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Klaas de Vries from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The corner ended in Jan Rein Hindriks almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but volibears's Aurelio Malatesta did a great save. Aurelio Malatesta made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Roger Bueno sent off a good shot on target. Aurelio Malatesta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorn Krommert, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diderik Pepping to strike the kick off in the second half. The volibears fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 74 minutes into the match, Overschie's goal looked a bit too open when Abdulkadir Sungun came free, but Niek Kiewit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorn Krommert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Overschie's Niek Kiewit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximilian Viklund in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Maximilian Viklund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. volibears's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Overschie the free kick. After a rather tough play, volibears's Maximilian Viklund got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute of the match, Diderik Pepping got a very nice opportunity to score, but Niek Kiewit was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Aurelio Malatesta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorn Krommert in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Bueno in the 85th minute of play forced volibears's goalkeeper Aurelio Malatesta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Roger Bueno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Malatesta. volibears's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Bueno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Hugo van Harten's late challenge caught a Overschie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo van Harten helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, one of volibears:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for volibears. volibears:s Aurelio Malatesta showed great skill when he stopped Jan Rein Hindriks:s penalty. 89 minutes into the match, Jan Rein Hindriks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Malatesta. volibears's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Rein Hindriks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Overschie's zone, Diderik Pepping stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niek Kiewit came out of the goal and Diderik Pepping tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. volibears's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
