In the 19th minute, Michel Ellerman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Stevensbeek FC booed when Telgt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Bok didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Telgt's goalkeeper Zsigmond Bodor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Stevensbeek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Txaran came free, but David van Putten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Stevensbeek FC's David van Putten got control of the ball when Antonio Txaran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stevensbeek FC's David van Putten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Stevensbeek FC from getting a goal against them. David van Putten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Txaran in the 41st minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Michael Stekelenburg got a very nice opportunity to score, but David van Putten was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Ellerman to make the kick off. Zsigmond Bodor made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Michel Ellerman sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Stevensbeek FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Telgt players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
