Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Harry Fava started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute, Dylan Lia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Paul Failla hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Edmond Cascun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Sean Portelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Sarsero hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes, Laandaas's Neil Tabone shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ian Falzon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laandaas reached it. 23 minutes into the match, Laandaas's Harry Fava sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ian Falzon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harry Fava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ian Falzon had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Neil Tabone's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Luxol Stars's Ian Falzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Fava in the 36th minute of play. If George Amato Gauci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Laandaas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edmond Cascun fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard, long distance shot from Andrea Palmier flew over the goal. After 45 played minutes Luxol Stars got a freekick which was hit by Edmond Cascun. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edmond Cascun made the kick off in the second half. Dylan Lia might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sean Portelli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dylan Lia ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the match, Luxol Stars's goalkeeper Ian Falzon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aidan Montalto. Ian Falzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Fava in the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Laandaas's zone, Edmond Cascun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean Portelli came out of the goal and Edmond Cascun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Harry Fava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edmond Cascun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Luxol Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Etienne Anastasi to maneuver through the defense. When Dylan Lia came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Luxol Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dylan Lia couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Laandaas's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Cascun came free, but Sean Portelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luxol Stars were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Laandaas to leave the ground with a draw.
