Laandaas's Harry Fava got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brady Fabri was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Harry Fava capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harry Fava really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Sliema's Edward Bajo in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laandaas's goalie prevented a goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Edward Bajo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laandaas's Sean Portelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luke Mariani during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Sliema was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luke Mariani to maneuver through the defense. George Amato Gauci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Brady Fabri made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Laandaas's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Bajo came free, but Sean Portelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Portelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Bajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Laandaas booed when Sliema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Selvagi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Girard kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Sean Portelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roderick Gonzi's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Roderick Gonzi struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Sean Portelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sliema. When Edward Bajo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sliema fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Bajo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sliema booed when Laandaas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil Tabone didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Fava to strike the kick off in the second half. Brady Fabri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Amato Gauci in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Sliema getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Adriano Girard hit a great ball. Edward Bajo struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Sean Portelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sliema. When Dylan Bonett fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laandaas's protests and gave Dylan Bonett a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Laandaas getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Dylan Bonett hit a great ball. After 70 played minutes, Sliema's Paul Bugeja shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sean Portelli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sliema reached it. In the 72nd minute, one of Laandaas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Laandaas. The goalkeeper, Sean Portelli, was totally fooled by Sliema's Paul Bugeja, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Edward Bajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sean Portelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roderick Gonzi in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Roderick Gonzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sliema's supporters rose to their feet, but Roderick Gonzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Portelli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Adriano Scifo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Sliema getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Paul Bugeja hit a great ball. Laandaas's Harry Fava got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-2 became the score in the 93rd minute when Edward Bajo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harry Fava in the 100th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brady Fabri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded Sliema left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laandaas.
