Roderick Fava stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clifton Valletta's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. If Clifton Valletta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dylan Griffin's late challenge caught a Cospicua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan Griffin helped the player get up and apologised. Dylan Griffin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Cospicua's Carl De Piro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Cospicua from getting a goal against them. Cospicua's Joe Attard got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Joe Attard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Cospicua's Carl De Piro got control of the ball when Alan Bianco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Cospicua's Joe Attard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roderick Fava narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roderick Fava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clifton Valletta in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mistra United's Charles Cristina got a free kick in the 30th minute. Joe Attard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Roderick Fava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roderick Fava stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joe Attard's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Joe Attard scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roderick Fava, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alan Bianco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Carl De Piro made a huge save. Joe Attard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Roderick Fava tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dylan Griffin in the 46th minute of play forced Cospicua's goalkeeper Carl De Piro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cospicua's goalkeeper Carl De Piro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Dylan Griffin made the kick off in the second half. Carl De Piro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alan Bianco went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenneth Salnitro during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Kenneth Salnitro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alan Bianco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carl De Piro came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Mistra United's Dylan Griffin. But to his dismay, Dylan Griffin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Alan Bianco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Joe Attard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roderick Fava saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carl De Piro came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Mistra United's Dylan Griffin. But to his dismay, Dylan Griffin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Roderick Fava made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Clifton Valletta sent off a good shot on target. Roderick Fava showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Attard in the 85th minute of the match.
