Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dennis Cassar Overend started the match with the kick off. Kyle Abbate didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Cassar Overend went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 6th minute Salvatore Dimech shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Rapa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Marsalforn AFC booed when Ħamrun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brady Reale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kyle England Sant Fournier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Dennis Cassar Overend hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Luca Cassar Naudi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ħamrun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Cassar Naudi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kyle Abbate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Cassar Overend, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ħamrun's Brady Reale got his second yellow card of the match in the 16th minute. The referee ordered Brady Reale off the ground. In the 16th match minute, Ħamrun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brady Reale to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle England Sant Fournier in the 20th minute of play forced Ħamrun's goalkeeper Steve Rapa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvatore Dimech sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marsalforn AFC's Salvatore Dimech suffered a concussion after 23 minutes and had to leave the field. After 23 minutes, Bertrand Francalanza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ħamrun and the Marsalforn AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ħamrun fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Kyle Abbate made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Luca Cassar Naudi sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 38 minutes, Luca Cassar Naudi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ħamrun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Cassar Naudi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steve Rapa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle England Sant Fournier, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, Marsalforn AFC's Ashley Catania got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Kyle England Sant Fournier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Rapa having to interfere. If Kyle England Sant Fournier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Kyle England Sant Fournier made the kick off in the second half. When Martin Cremona fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ħamrun's protests and gave Martin Cremona a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Martin Cremona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kyle England Sant Fournier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luca Cassar Naudi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Kyle England Sant Fournier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marsalforn AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kyle England Sant Fournier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Rapa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Luca Cassar Naudi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kyle Abbate was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
