Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Floriana's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Taliana came free, but Cedric Stanyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Floriana's goalkeeper Cedric Stanyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noel Testa. Jake Gordon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Abel, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Calcedonio Vella Bonavita kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Liverpool's Terence Gafà tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Daryl Taliana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cedric Stanyer. Daryl Taliana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daryl Taliana to strike the kick off in the second half. After 79 played minutes, Liverpool's Terence Gafà shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cedric Stanyer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Daryl Taliana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Noel Testa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedric Stanyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liverpool's Jake Gordon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool from getting a goal against them. Liverpool's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
