Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kyle Alamango took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Gilbert Agius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilbert Agius charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilbert Agius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 9 minutes into the match, Qrendi's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Alamango came free, but Amadeo Brockdorff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Qrendi getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Gilbert Agius hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Qrendi's zone, Kyle Alamango stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeo Brockdorff came out of the goal and Kyle Alamango tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Brian DeGaetano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Bonello was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Kyle Alamango fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Brockdorff having to interfere. When Michael Soler fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Qrendi's protests and gave Michael Soler a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Qrendi's Michael Soler got a free kick in the 21st minute. Kyle Alamango fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Brockdorff having to interfere. In the 29th play minute Stephen Cassar Overend came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amadeo Brockdorff. 1-0. When Gary Mamo came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Qrendi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gary Mamo couldn't finish the play. Gary Mamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Qrendi's Amadeo Brockdorff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Qrendi from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gary Mamo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Galdes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Amadeo Brockdorff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luqa SA. 53 minutes into the match, Qrendi's goal looked a bit too open when John Galdes came free, but Amadeo Brockdorff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrew Carbonaro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Stephen Cassar Overend sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Stephen Cassar Overend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeo Brockdorff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Alamango's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Kyle Alamango managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luqa SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kyle Alamango was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Stephen Cassar Overend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, one of Qrendi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 75 minutes into the match, Kyle Alamango notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Qrendi's Amadeo Brockdorff. Amadeo Brockdorff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amadeo Brockdorff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Alamango in the 79th minute of the match. Lawrence Seracino Inglott kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Martin Bonello successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Stephen Cassar Overend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Amadeo Brockdorff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Cachia Caruana during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
