A collision led to Binġemma getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Kurt Mizzi hit a great ball. Michael Trigona, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Binġemma's Gaetano Cassar Naudi got a free kick in the 16th minute. Thomas Simiana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Baldacchino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiobian Flores having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Baldacchino in the 31st minute of play forced Binġemma's goalkeeper Fiobian Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Mugliett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Cassar White, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. San Alwigi's Karl Mugliett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenneth Cassar White in the 36th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Binġemma's Julian Galea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Mugliett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Kenneth Cassar White's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Mugliett was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Julian Galea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Karl Mugliett came out and tried to block the shot, but Julian Galea slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Kenneth Cassar White made the kick off in the second half. Karl Mugliett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Cassar White, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Martin Baldacchino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Dalli hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute Binġemma were awarded a corner. Kyle German went to the cornerflag to take it. Karl Mugliett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Galea went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Kenneth Cassar White fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Mugliett having to interfere. If Julian Galea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Mugliett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kenneth Cassar White, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Fiobian Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Simiana, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 90th minute Kenneth Cassar White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Mugliett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
