OUT LIGHT's Robbie Cassar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save OUT LIGHT from getting a goal against them. Alessio Vassallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Owen Bruno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Red Redemption's Owen Bruno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessio Vassallo in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Michele Spiteri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Ebejer, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Owen Bruno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessio Vassallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Michele Spiteri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OUT LIGHT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 47th minute Alessio Vassallo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Bruno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessio Vassallo made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Degiorgio in the 54th minute of play forced OUT LIGHT's goalkeeper Robbie Cassar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Owen Bruno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Tanti in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Griffin in the 62nd minute of play forced OUT LIGHT's goalkeeper Robbie Cassar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris Tanti was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Alessio Vassallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ben Griffin kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Oliver Cassola struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Owen Bruno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OUT LIGHT. Robbie Cassar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Degiorgio, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Alessio Vassallo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the OUT LIGHT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessio Vassallo couldn't finish the play. If Chris Tanti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Meilak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Bruno having to interfere. Joseph Bigeni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Robbie Cassar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, OUT LIGHT's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Bigeni came free, but Robbie Cassar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86thth minute of the game Alessio Vassallo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Redemption's Owen Bruno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anton Lowell charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anton Lowell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Red Redemption was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Lowell to maneuver through the defense. OUT LIGHT's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
