Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Bondin started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Jurgen Cassar put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Martin Dougall. Cottonera Corinthians's Daniel Bondin got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Cortis in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of John Cassar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jordan Zampa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Dougall having to interfere. John Cassar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Bondin in the 19th minute of the match. Jordan Zampa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Martin Dougall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jurgen Cassar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jordan Zampa scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Dougall, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When MEPA FC's Jordan Zampa in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cottonera Corinthians's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute, Neville Fabri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Cassar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Bondin in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jurgen Cassar made a kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Cottonera Corinthians's Daniel Bondin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John Cassar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 58 played minutes Cottonera Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Sant Manduca. John Cassar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Bondin in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match, Jurgen Cassar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Martin Dougall saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 70th minute, Daniel Bondin made a precise shot to the right of John Cassar. MEPA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Cottonera Corinthians's zone, Jurgen Cassar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Dougall came out of the goal and Jurgen Cassar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 minutes of play MEPA FC's Neville Fabri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 89 minutes MEPA FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Charles Gabarretta who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Cottonera Corinthians's Charles Gabarretta to fire away a dangerous shot which John Cassar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
