Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) When Pawlu Imbroll came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Iklin Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pawlu Imbroll couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Iklin Stars's Pawlu Imbroll ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind James Schiavone. James Schiavone yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ryan Zarb's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, James Schiavone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bulebel Spartans's James Schiavone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Bulebel Spartans from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Iklin Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Evan Abbate came free, but Kurt Rice reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ashley Mula charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ashley Mula the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ashley Mula kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Kurt Rice showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve McIntyre, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Iklin Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Evan Abbate came free, but Kurt Rice reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godwin De Lucca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kurt Rice tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Antoine Dougall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iklin Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bulebel Spartans the free kick. After a rather tough play, Iklin Stars's Antoine Dougall got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Iklin Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Steve McIntyre came free, but Kurt Rice reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryan Zarb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Schiavone having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Iklin Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Steve McIntyre came free, but Kurt Rice reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Rice took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evan Abbate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steve McIntyre was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Iklin Stars got a freekick which was hit by Klinsmann Salinos. Bulebel Spartans's James Schiavone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawlu Imbroll in the 59th minute of play. Ryan Zarb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Schiavone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawlu Imbroll in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steve McIntyre in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Rice prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antoine Dougall kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Steve McIntyre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Godwin De Lucca fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bulebel Spartans's protests and gave Godwin De Lucca a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Bulebel Spartans got a freekick which was hit by Godwin De Lucca. After 86 played minutes Iklin Stars got a freekick which was hit by Mark McElwee. Bulebel Spartans's Ashley Mula shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kurt Rice but with some difficulty. After having played for 90 minutes, Ryan Zarb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iklin Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryan Zarb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawlu Imbroll in the 92nd minute of play forced Bulebel Spartans's goalkeeper James Schiavone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryan Zarb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
