Everardo Pasqual showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Cauchi in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of Norrlands Guld booed when Tiġieġ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Terribile didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norrlands Guld's Mark Fenech Adami shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mike Sant Fournier but with some difficulty. The crowd rose to their feet as Norrlands Guld's Mark Fenech Adami slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mike Sant Fournier. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. The supporters of Tiġieġ FC booed when Norrlands Guld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Barbara didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Tiġieġ FC's Brian Terribile broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mike Sant Fournier didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Norrlands Guld's Mark Fenech Adami slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mike Sant Fournier. That made the score 3-0 after 21 minutes of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tiġieġ FC's goalkeeper Mike Sant Fournier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kyriakos Siöberg during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kyriakos Siöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Sean Cauchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Everardo Pasqual tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mark Fenech Adami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike Sant Fournier was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Mario Bezzina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mario Bezzina really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mark Fenech Adami to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Norrlands Guld's goalkeeper Everardo Pasqual had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessio Sladden. Daniel Attard hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Mario Bezzina kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The supporters of Tiġieġ FC booed when Norrlands Guld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyriakos Siöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Attard kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Brian Terribile managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 78th minute Alessio Sladden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Pasqual saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Fenech Adami in the 86th minute of play forced Tiġieġ FC's goalkeeper Mike Sant Fournier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Fenech Adami in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mike Sant Fournier saved Tiġieġ FC from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle, Norrlands Guld could leave the field as winners, despite Tiġieġ FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
