Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Sean Cauchi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toivo Puistola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Mike Sant Fournier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Stafrace, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Tiġieġ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Stafrace came free, but Mike Sant Fournier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Nathan Bongailas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Sant Fournier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Stafrace fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike Sant Fournier having to interfere. Alessio Sladdens short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Toivo Puistola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Sean Cauchi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 21 played minutes Sputnik VII got a freekick which was hit by Carl Musumeci. Carl Musumeci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tiġieġ FC's Matteo Pullicino Orlando got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mike Sant Fournier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan Bongailas in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Tiġieġ FC's Sean Cauchi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toivo Puistola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Tiġieġ FC booed when Sputnik VII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Stafrace didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Tiġieġ FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jake Brockdorff hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Alessio Sladden dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Toivo Puistola, 1-0. Sean Cauchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Alessio Sladden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sputnik VII's Toivo Puistola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toivo Puistola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Cauchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Sean Cauchi made the kick off in the second half. Jake Brockdorff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toivo Puistola having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Sputnik VII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Stafrace to maneuver through the defense. Toivo Puistola came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Tiġieġ FC's Sean Cauchi. But to his dismay, Sean Cauchi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 75 minutes into the match, Tiġieġ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Stafrace came free, but Mike Sant Fournier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Sean Cauchi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nathan Bongailas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mike Sant Fournier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88th play minutes Sean Cauchi shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Toivo Puistola and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Alessio Sladden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sputnik VII's Toivo Puistola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tiġieġ FC had played much better football throughout.
