The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mario Salerno got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Swatar United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bjorn Pace Bonello came free, but Patryk Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Swatar United FC were awarded a corner. Chiratorn Wongsanam went to the cornerflag to take it. Chiratorn Wongsanam made a great header on Swatar United FC's corner, it was just that Marsa FC's Tim Dimech managed to reach the ball for a save. Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Swatar United FC booed when Marsa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Micallef didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiratorn Wongsanam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Dimech read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Salerno in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Dimech saved Marsa FC from getting behind. The Swatar United FC fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patryk Siekierski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjorn Pace Bonello in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marsa FC's Robert Carbonaro got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Marsa FC's goalkeeper Tim Dimech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiratorn Wongsanam. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mario Salerno in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Dimech saved Marsa FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Pârcălab got free with Tim Dimech in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute Swatar United FC were awarded a corner. Chiratorn Wongsanam went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 34th minute Mario Salerno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Dimech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patryk Siekierski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjorn Pace Bonello, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The corner ended in Ben Lia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Swatar United FC's Patryk Siekierski did a great save. Marsa FC's Tim Dimech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Salerno in the 37th minute of play. Owen Grech Cumbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Dimech having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Mario Salerno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Swatar United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 44th minute of the match, Neil Micallef tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tim Dimech saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mario Salerno did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Tim Dimech 48 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Robert Carbonaro kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tim Dimech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Salerno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Mario Salerno notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Marsa FC's Tim Dimech. Tim Dimech was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cem Güler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Mario Salerno sped through Marsa FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tim Dimech. In the 72nd minute, Sebastian Pârcălab made a precise shot to the right of Tim Dimech. Marsa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Owen Grech Cumbo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tim Dimech. Marsa FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Mario Salerno sped through Marsa FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tim Dimech. When Neil Micallef fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swatar United FC's protests and gave Neil Micallef a yellow card for diving instead. Neil Micallef hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Tim Dimech came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno. But to his dismay, Mario Salerno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. After 86 minutes of play, Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Dimech was left in no man's land by his defense there! 90 minutes into the match, Swatar United FC's Mario Salerno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Dimech narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tim Dimech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Salerno in the 93rd minute of the match. Swatar United FC were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Marsa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chiratorn Wongsanam took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ben Lia got free with Patryk Siekierski in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Swatar United FC fully deserved thier win.
