The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 3 minutes on the clock, Antonij Mitanov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee ignored Vraneštica's protests and gave Skender Dimitrovski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Skender Dimitrovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bedar Dejanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Zafir Andreevski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vraneštica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zafir Andreevski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vraneštica's Arton Nevenovski got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ice Smilenski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arton Nevenovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Zafir Andreevski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ice Smilenski. Arilevo Pobeda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zafir Andreevski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Radoje Acev came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Arilevo Pobeda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radoje Acev couldn't finish the play. If Bedar Dejanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erkand Makedonski charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erkand Makedonski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Vraneštica got a freekick which was hit by Erkand Makedonski. The supporters of Arilevo Pobeda booed when Vraneštica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stamen Kočiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
